Business Continuity and BS 7799 / ISO17799

Business Continuity is of critical importance to most enterprises. Of growing importance of course, is also the information security standard, ISO17799 (or BS 7799).

These two issues, however, are not isolated. ISO17799 / ISO 17799 fully embraces business continuity through section 11 of part 1. This covers continuity planning from inception to testing.

This web site therefore explains how to approach business continuity in the context of the standard. It takes you through each sub-section of section 11, explaining the contents and identifying sites and resources that may be off assistance in addressing the requirements.

THE PROCESS
Sub-section 11.1.1 focuses upon the management process for developing and maintaining continuity.

IMPACT ANALYSIS

PLANNING
Sub-section 11.1.3 covers the development and implementation of the plan itself.

FRAMEWORK
